KC Running Company Race Team – 2016 Team Standards


Thank you for your interest in being a part of the 2016 KC Running Company race team. Please review the standards listed below. Currently we are taking applications by email. Please send your bio including your running background, PR’s (list the race, date and official course results), and goals for 2016 to vmhughes10@gmail.com. Please note that the qualifying times for the Elite, A, B, and masters must be from January 1st of 2015 and after and must have been run on the road.

KCRC Groupies

  • Must be 18 years and older
  • No time standards required
  • Male/female
  • 5K to marathon distance
  • $10 annual membership fee
  • Receive – KCRC singlet or shirt, 10% off at retail stores 20% off at group runs from the stores, 20% off 5 KCRC race events.
  • Requirements – have fun, volunteer at a minimum of 2 KCRC events, participate in 5 KCRC events and wear your KCRC singlet or shirt in all races.

Elite Standard (Elite Standard Singlet)

  • Male/female
  • 5K – 14:45/16:59
  • 10K – 30:30/35:00
  • Half marathon – 1:09:30/1:18:30
  • Marathon – 2:24/2:52
  • Receive – 2 training shoes, 1 pair of racing shoes, 1 KCRC warm-up kit, race singlet, FREE entry into all KCRC events (all racing shoes and gear will be provided by Saucony).
  • Requirements – volunteer at a minimum of 2 KCRC events, participate in 5 KCRC events and wear your KCRC singlet or shirt in all races.

A Standard (A Standard Singlet)

  • Male/female
  • 5K – 15:59/18:59
  • 10K -32:45/39:30
  • Half marathon – 1:14:30/1:27:30
  • Marathon – 2:36/3:10
  • Receive – one free pair of shoes, 25% off one pairs of shoes in stock, 25% off 1 warm-up kit, race singlet, 4 FREE entries into KCRC events.
  • Requirements – volunteer at a minimum of 2 KCRC events, participate in 5 KCRC events and wear your KCRC singlet or shirt in all races.

B Standard (B Standard Singlet)

  • Male/female
  • 5K – 17:59/21:30
  • 10K -38:00/45:00
  • Half marathon – 1:25/1:42
  • Marathon – 3:10/3:40
  • Receive – 30% off one pair of shoes, 25% off 1 warm-up kit, race singlet, FREE entry into 3 KCRC 5Ks or 10K
  • Requirements – volunteer at a minimum of 2 KCRC events, participate in 5 KCRC events and wear your KCRC singlet or shirt in all races.

Masters Standards

    • Male/female
    • Receive – one free pair of shoes, 25% off one pairs of shoes in stock, 25% off 1 warm-up kit, race singlet, 4 FREE entries into KCRC 5K or 10K events.
    • Requirements – volunteer at a minimum of 2 KCRC events, participate in 5 KCRC events and wear your KCRC singlet or shirt in all races.
