OKTOBERFEST 5K
OCTOBER 6TH, 2024
Join us for a Bavarian celebration run in the streets of historic Martin City! The 8th annual 5K event will reward participants with a large finishers medal and can add an event mug or event shirt for a few dollars more! There will also be age group and overall awards for the fastest finishers! There will be lots of German music and a selection of beers to sample at this fun event. The Top Overall Male and Female and Top Masters Male and Female (40+) finishers will receive an award
AGE GROUPS
Awards will be given to first, second and third males and females in each age group: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Results will be posted at the registration site. You can also sign up to get a text message with your results when you register.

Proceeds of the 2024 Oktoberfest 5k will benefit The International Dyslexia Association's (IDA) Kansas and Missouri Branch. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teachers, individuals with dyslexia, their families, and the communities that support them. We also offer reading scholarships for students and teacher training scholarships for teachers. IDA actively promotes effective teaching approaches and related clinical research and or/ educational intervention strategies for those with dyslexia. We facilitate the exploration of the causes and early identification of dyslexia and are committed to the responsible and wide dissemination of research-based knowledge. The mission of the Kansas-Missouri branch IDA is to give students with dyslexia a better learning experience through teacher training and scholarships, parent support, and student empowerment.
